The white lions are sort of mysterial because they are only just spotted since 1938 on the african continent. They are no albinos but truly white in colour with blue eyes.
For African natives they are the sacred children of the sun god that are sent to bring the light back to earth. And there are stories of shamans being able to communicate with the lions and even about shapeshifting.
Unfortunately their uniqueness makes them a target. They are hunted for their fur or to be hold captive in zoos and circus. I'd like to draw attention to this beautiful species! Let the hunting stop so they can bring the light to us!
