Bitte.
Wow, this is one of the most beautiful pictures I've seen lately! Even when her face is so blanc, this is full of emotion, is't musterious and the atmosphere is so "thick" it gives me the goosebumps!:3
Thank you. I'm very honoured to get such a nice compliment from a good artist like you. I love your castles! I did this drawing on commission. The commissioner wanted her to be very pale, sad and bitter but strong and soft looking at the same time. He sent me pages and pages on how she is supposed to look and confused me a great deal . But in the end it was worth it, I suppose.
Wow! I think most of the time you spent on it was on the hair, but it came out wonderful. All the pic is full of motion and the background suits it so well. Maan, I realy need to learn this background thing. I never choose the right one.
You are right. The hair took me ages and was responsible for the frustration periods too... But the background wasn't easy either. The trouble with pastells or pencils is that you can't do the background before you do the front. So I had to draw it around every single hair and try to make it look like one sky... that was more work than I had expected. By the way: you know that I love your work. Most of the backgrounds suit the picture well (like the kitten). Just stay away from the klischee sunsets and stuff... you do such realistic wolfes, they deserve a realistic background
